After several years without a resident pair, Peregrine Falcons have finally returned to Ely Cathedral. Since 2021, no dominant pair had established themselves—until now.
In early 2025, a new pair of Peregrines settled in, and the excitement quickly followed:
- First egg laid: 19th April
- Second egg: 21st April
- Third egg: 24th April

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the Hawk and Owl Trust, Cathedral Staff and volunteers, viewers can now watch the nesting falcons live via the updated webcam stream. This initiative continues to inspire a global audience while showcasing how heritage sites and wildlife can thrive side by side.
