0928 TA preens in centre of box, then wing flexes while defecating over parapet.

0931 TC descends from parapet towards prey then moves on to ledge facing camera, pecking from food morsel held in L claw.

0937 TD also briefly pecks from TC's claw, but then retrieves main prey and resumes feeding.

0938 TC returns from parapet.

0948 TC takes up original position on long parapet while TD still feeding. Remaining pair in adjacent corners, one recumbent the other standing..

0954 TD stops feeding & moves towards recumbent TB in SW corner, clawing at back feathers to  obtain adjacent position  before settling down with it.

0959 TC moves along parapet flexing wings several times.

1008 TA moves towards prey & begins feeding. TC dozing precariously on parapet.

1016 TA finishes feeding, defecates then joins sibling huddle in SW corner, pecking at nestbox wall. Settles down with head turned duck-like into back feathers.

1020. TC preening on parapet facing spire, but then appears to fall asleep as other chicks.

11.00 A dull morning, with recent rain having abated for the time being. TC sitting on the edge of the box with his sisters in the box huddled together in the near corner.

All birds now begin stretching and are looking up towards the top of the spire.

11.08 Preening starts in earnest.

11.20 The carcass from the earlier feed is picked over by TA.

11.29 All chicks begin calling and look up. An adult has returned.

Weather has turned decidedly duller and the rain commences.

11.30 TC wanders along the edge of the box and really flex in wings vigorously.

11.32 All birds walk around the box and a female TB gets onto the edge of the box joining TC and flexes its wings.

11.34 For a brief moment three were on the edge of the box.

11.36 With two of the birds on the edge, a third seems keen to join them, but remains in the box for the time being.

11.38 TC hops into the box but returns to the edge a minute later.

11.40 TC experiments with a gliding pose. Then flaps hard for a good 10 seconds.

The weather is blustery but has brightened up in the last few minutes.

11.45 TB flaps her wings hard on the edge of the box, then watches TD and TA tackle what remains of the carcass.

11.56 The rain has returned.

12.03 Further calling and flapping as the birds spot something above them.

12.04 TC flaps vigorously and looks about; he seems the most ready to fledge.

12.08 An adult flies past, dropping from the top of the spire downwards. Watched by three of the young

12.12 TB drops back into the box from her perch on the edge.

Calm returns to the box, with the birds preening.

12.26 The birds have settled down and are sitting out the rain.

12.29 The sun makes its first appearance this shift leading to three of the birds preening.

12.32 Three of the birds look up attracted by activity.

12.35 All four birds are now alert and call. Some activity above.

12.41 Preening resumes in the sun.

12.52 The preening routine now moves on to wing extension exercise.

12.59 The adults birds did not visit the box over the last two hours, with no feeds taking place as a result.

13.05 All four birds are facing the front of the box, preened, and ready for lunch! TC, as he has been for most of the morning, is perched on the far front corner of the box.

13.09 TC runs along the ledge at the front of the box ending up with his back to the side camera, where he continues to preen.

13.11 TC hops into the box and picks over the carcass. All birds must be beginning to feel hungry.

13.14 TB hops onto the edge of the box nearest the camera.

13.19 Vigorous flapping from TB!

TB TC on the edge as the wind and rain starts, with hail too!

13.00, taken over from Jon and Andrew.

13.16, TC sitting on right hand corner ledge of box.

13.48, one of the female juveniles had a wing stretch, completely covered one of her sisters.

14.15, sunshine at last, TC still sitting on corner of the box.

14.21 TC starts calling out.

14.35, all very quiet, two female juveniles asleep on right hand side of box.

14.48, now all three girls fast asleep, with TC in usual place.

14.50, TC had a real flapping session along front ledge.

15.00, finished.

15.00...Shift started with 2 laying with their heads tucked in and 1 strutting along the front edge.

15.09...TC almost running along the trays front edge.

15.24...Lots of calling and 4 heads tracking something in the air.

15.29...Lots of buffering of the camera

15.33...TC very vocal and running with wings outstretched, came close to surprising itself by taking off.

15.37...All chicks looking skyward.

15.41...TC does more 'running', then a 2 flap glide into box.

15.44...What a racket from all of the chicks, something caught their attention up the spire.

15.58...TC nearly lost it, slipping during one of it's run and flap sessions.

16.00...More wing flapping, they then settled down to rest...breeze is now picking up.

16.04...Appears to be raining, forcing the chicks to huddle down.

16.08...TD facing the wind and stretching its wings, appears to be getting some lift.

At this point I lost the camera, buffering and then told camera not available.  At 17.25 camera still not available.
