Weather- overcast 9.30 1 juvenile on the edge of the nest box, it then flew off calling. 9.40 Male on top of the window arch above the nest platform. 1 juvenile 4 down on the W. 10.00 Juvenile landed on the crocket on the right-hand side of the nest box and…

Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Activity Log- 11/07/19

9.30 No birds on view.

9.44 GA 2 down on the front of the spire. 1 juvenile on the E side 4 crockets down.

10.20 A Peregrine appears from behind the bell tower heading W.

11.30 GA flew down and landed on the nest box.

11.31 Male flew around the spire. The juvenile from 4 crockets down joins the male in flight and then lands 1 crocket down on the NE out of view from the watch point.

11.34 GA is on the edge of the nest platform.

12.03 GA goes back inside the nest box and starts scraping with her feet.

12.04 GA on the edge of the nest box.

12.16 1 juvenile in flight flying S.

12.30 Male and juvenile flying around the spire.

12.32 Juvenile lands on the golden bales on top of the spire.

12.35 GA left and flew SE.

12.50 3 birds in flight 2 juveniles and the adult male. The male landed on the SE pinnacle. 1 juvenile (YS) landed on the nest box and the other juvenile landed on the N side of the spire. The third juvenile is 3 down on the NE side of the spire.

13.27 Male flew in and lands on the N side of the spire.

13.46 YS flew N.

13.47 Male lands on the nest platform.

13.50 1 juvenile (L7) flies in and lands 5 down on the E.

13.56 The male is preening.

13.58 Male flew off.

14.11 1 peregrine flies over.

14.27 The Male stoops to the N.

15.04 L7 flies N.

15.05 1 juvenile flew W.

15.21 GA landed 2 crockets down on the W. 1 juvenile (YL) lands in the nest box with prey (a common tern) and plucks.

15.51 GA flew off

16.00 No change and it starts to rain.
