Norwich Cathedral Peregrines Activity Log 20/06/2019

Glorious day at the watch point today, with lots of activity from the juvenile peregrines!

Weather was sunny then overcast.

9.40 The male is on the nest box. GA is 2 crockets down from the East side plucking window. YL is 2 crockets below her mother.

9.50 GA flies North East.

10.05 Male flies fast from the South East to the North West.

10.58 YS over from the West to the East.

11.11 Male returns and lands 2 crockets down on the East side.

11.17 A juvenile lands in the nest box.

11.22 There are two juveniles on the nave roof.

11.45 One juvenile is on the nave cross.

11.52 The juvenile flies off from the nest box.

11.57 Two juveniles play fight over the cathedral.

12.00 A juvenile lands below the South side plucking window.

12.15 Juvenile lands on the South East pinnacle. The juvenile on the cross moves to the nave roof.

12.27 A female juvenile flies off to the South East circling overhead.

12.33 YL lands 3 crockets down on the West side.

12.39 The male returns and lands on the golden bales with prey which he plucks. A juvenile lands next to the nest box on the East side. GA lands 1 crocket above the East plucking window.

13.18 YS is on the North crenellations, she then stoops at something to the North. Another juvenile is on the North side beneath the plucking window.

13.35 A juvenile lands on the nave and is joined by a sibling.

13.53 Two juveniles fly around the spire.

13.54 The juvenile which was near the box leaves the spire.

13.57 L7 lands in the next box.

13.58 YS lands on the nave roof.

14.09 L7 flies off to the South East.

14.12 A juvenile lands on the North East turret.

14.14 L7 and YL fly around the spire. YL then lands on the West side.

14.23 YS leaves the nave.

14.39 A juvenile flies off North behind the nave.

15.00 To juveniles fly off to the West.

15.02 YL leaves the spire.

15.05 A juvenile lands on the North East side 3 crockets up.

15.10 GA returns with prey to the North plucking window. She then moves to the 2nd crocket down. All the juveniles fly around to the North side spire.

15.51 GA flies around and lands on the golden bales briefly, then moves to the 4th crocket down.

15.57 The male flies off South East.

16.00 GA passes food to a juvenile which takes it to the South East pinnacle.
