Norwich Cathedral Peregrines Activity Log 16/06/2019

A quiet day at the watch point. The juveniles continue to fly around the cathedral with confidence and skill, while the adults keep an eye on them.

Weather was sunny with a brief torrential rain shower.

10.00 All 3 juveniles are on the North East pinnacle.

10.12 GA returns and lands 2 crockets down on the East side.

11.18 The male patrols around the cathedral, lands 2 crockets down briefly before flying off.

11.41 The male is spotted flying about over towards the North East. He then lands 2 crockets down and GA moves up to the golden bales plucking a stored pigeon.

11.52 GA flies around the cathedral, and then lands on the East plucking window.

12.12 Three juveniles play fight in the air, while GA flies above them offering a food pass, but they take no notice.

12.30 GA is seen flying about to the South East, before flying around the cathedral and landing on the North side.

12.30 Male lands in nest box.

13.35 Two juveniles fly around the cathedral play fighting. One juvenile lands 2 crockets above the nest box and calls down to the male.

13.40 The male flies away and the juveniles flies around the spire and settles on the South East pinnacle.

14.26 Red kite spotted high up to the North West.

14.35 GA is 3 crockets down on the East side.

14.54 Male lands in nest box again.

14.57 Male flies off North West.

16.00 GA returns with food to the North plucking window.
