A busy day at the watchpoint and the Bishops garden lots of visitors and plenty of peregrine activity! Weather warm and sunny. 9.00 I Juvenile on the next box, the male briefly visited the box and then flew off. 9.53 The Juvenile flew off. 10.02 1 adult lands…

Norwich Cathedral Peregrines Activitiy Log- 08/06/19

Weather: Strong wind and rain.

9:50 – GA three crockets down from the top window on the East. The male on the North East turret fleur-de-lis. YS on South transept East side. L7 on South transept West side.

10:17 – Male flew and landed two down below the box. Chicks squawk.

10:50 – YL wings seem flapping behind crenellations on the bell tower. Male flew off.

11:50 – GA chased off a gull and returns to the spire.

11:55 – GA moves to a crocket next tot the nest box

12:00 – GA four crockets down on the East

12:20 – Male flew in and landed on the East plucking window

12:27 – Male lands on nest box

12:42 – GA moved out of sight. YS flies down to lower roof.

12:50 – Male flew West low

12:53 – Two males flying! Resident male two down on the East.

13:02 – Intruder alert! Intruding male being chased West

13:06 – GA and male flying. GA lands on top of the spire on golden bales.

13:13 – Male flying. GA three down from the top, male lands six down from the top.

13:27 – Both parents flew off.

13:30 – GA landed two down. YL on refectory roof

14:30 – GA flew off.

14:37 – Male landed four down from the top window. YL flaps its wings.

14:40 – Gull calls and flies low over YL! She ducks!

14:50 – YL flew! With a gull above her. YL then landed in the cloisters, grounded.

15:00 – YL was collected and returned back to the bell tower.

15:10 – GA returns to the spire, two down from the top. YS in same position from 10.

15:36 – Ga flew South at speed.

15:45 – GA flew and landed above the top window. Juvenile flying with GA! She is watching over the it and it landed on bell tower.

15:47 – Male landed below GA. GA two above the top window.

15:48 – Male flew off.

15:50 – Male landed one below the box

15:51 – Male took off and landed 5 below GA on the East

16:00 – Adults in the same position. One juvenile flew in and landed on the bell tower.
