Norwich Cathedral Peregrines Activity Log 06/04/2019

The watchpoint was officially opened today at 10am by the Dean of Norwich. It was the Dean's birthday and we presented her with a special cake in the shape of the cathdral spire with the peregrines on it.

Weather cold and overcast.

9.55 Male flies around the spire. GA is on incubation duty in the nest box.

10.00 Male lands 8 crockets down on the West side.

10.40 Male leaves crockets drifts around the spire and dives into the Bishops garden and returns to the spire 4 crockets down on the West with prey (blackbird).

10.47 Male feeding on prey item.

11.26 Buzzard soaring over head travelling West.

11.32 Male takes over incubation and GA lands 4 crockets down on the West side of the spire.

12.19 No change.

13.19 No change

14.30 GA flies around the spire and lands on the crocket above the left hand window level with the nest.

14.50 GA flew around and lands 4 crockets down on West side of the spire.

15.22 GA takes over the incubation duties, male lands 3 crockets down on the West side of the spire. The male was incubating for almost 4 hours!.
