sidehd 2022 05 20 11 29 48046We have already had a number of enquiries as to whether the Norwich Peregrine chicks will be ringed? This year the Norwich Falcon only laid three eggs, and one has already been lost. Additionally, it may be the Falcon's first season. We hope the second egg will hatch shortly.

As with all ringing, there are risks, even when mitigated for. The fitting of ID rings aids sighting reports of these birds and adds data contributing to ongoing research into the post fledge distribution of the species.

Each year we evaluate the circumstances prior to making a decision to ring or not, and this year the decision has been made not to ring. So therefore please enjoy these birds on our cameras.
