Volunteering at the Norwich Peregrine Watchpoint
We are pleased to announce the Peregrine Watchpoint will be returning to Norwich Cathedral from Wednesday 11th May.
The Hawk and Owl Trust are looking for some volunteers to help. The watchpoint will be running various days from 11th May until 8th July on a rota basis. There are a couple of shifts varying across the day with some flexibility if needed:
- 10:30am - 12:30pm
- 13:00pm - 15:00pm
Please note that we have limited spaces available
Entails
- Interacting with a varied audience
- Promoting the Trust and the work we do
- Promoting community events at our reserves Sculthorpe Moor and Shapwick Moor
- Viewing an urban Peregrines lifecycle and educating members of the public on the process
- Observing and recording behaviour throughout the lifecycle
- Discussing general birds of prey
- Assisting the outreach officer with queries and setting up for some school workshops when necessary
- Working as a close team to ensure a positive impact on visitors
