The Sculthorpe Moor and Shapwick Reserves reopened fully on Monday 12th April 2021.

On Monday morning Nigel Middleton took great pleasure in changing Sculthorpe’s ‘Closed’ sign to display its ‘Open’ message. Throughout the day the reserve welcomed happy visitors back to the reserve and its hides.

When visiting the Sculthorpe Reserve visitors can enjoy their time in safety as Covid precautions are in place. On entry, the Visitor Centre has a temperature station that reads your temperature automatically when you place your face in front of the screen. On being given a safe temperature reading we ask that you remain in your facemask until you are admitted out of doors onto the reserve.

Once outside one way systems are in place around the reserve’s walkways to minimise contact with other people. All hides are open, but only three to six people are permitted in these at a time, with full details clearly indicated on the front of each hide.

Toilet facilities are open, as always please wash your hands thoroughly and be mindful that these are used by other members of the public.

The drinks station in the visitor centre is also available to use, but we ask that beverages are consumed out of doors.

Sculthorpe opening hours are 08.00 – 16.30, 7 days per week until the 31st October. Last entry is at 3pm.
