On the 11th November 2021, the Hawk and Owl Trust were notified by a member of the public that a Norwich Peregrine had collided with a stationary car at Norwich Cathedral. Once verified by the Cathedral staff and the Trust, the Peregrine Falcon GA was retrieved by Hawk and Owl staff and taken to an RSPCA hospital.

Further to taking expert advice, it was confirmed that she had suffered neurological damage. Despite our best efforts, sadly, she did not make it through the night and passed away in the early hours of the 12th of November.

GA was 8 years old and was a 2013 hatchling from Bath, and was aptly labelled as a ‘feisty' female. She was seen in Norwich in 2015, and took over the scrape the following year. Claiming the site for herself. During her time at Norwich Cathedral GA had a total of 24 eggs, of which 22 hatched and 14 successfully fledged.
