The Partridges have been released into their next stage of life on the Sculthorpe Reserve!

Lilly Dollman Project Co-Ordinator releases the Partridges into their new meadow pen.

The native species of English Partridge have been relocated from ‘Partridge Palace’ (pictured below) to a new purpose-built pen on the reserve.

Partridge Palace

Starting life on the Sculthorpe Reserve as eggs in an incubator the Partridges have been monitored by Lilly Dollman throughout their journey. Lilly has seen them through their incubation, hatching, and release stages. Monitoring the Partridges progress along the way three local primary schools have been following the timeline closely.

From eggs to release. We've followed the journey all the way through.

This week Lilly released the Partridges into their new pen and created this video to record the important moment for the schools involved (and those of you who have been following the project online):

We can't wait to update you with their progress!
