Last week volunteers replaced some of the Kestrel boxes at Worston House in Highbridge.
This particular box being their most productive was in great need of a refresh!

The Kestrel Highways Project:
The project was set up by the Trust in 2008 and provides habitats near 8 major roads in different parts of the UK.
The Trust has seen Kestrels inhabiting some of these boxes as well as the occasional Tawny and Little Owl residents!
Continued work hopes to see a correlation between the erection of nest boxes and an improvement in declining Kestrel numbers.
