At 10.40am this morning the first of the chicks at the Norwich cathedral Peregrine nest fledged. The female chick, colour-ringed orange 'YS' was exercising her wings and got caught in a gust - a frequent cause of fledging. She made it to the bell tower and has been safely lower down the cathedral all day. Her mother has been keeping an eye and delivering food.YS
