Norwich Cathedral Peregrines Activity Log 24/06/2019

Today was a quiet and humid day at the watch point. The juveniles are still flying around with their parents as usual.

Weather was muggy with a rain shower in the afternoon.

9.40 Two juveniles and GA are flying about to the South East.

9.50 The male lands in the nest and the juvenile joins him.

9.55 The male flies off and lands on the North side plucking window.

10.14 GA and two juveniles are flying around the spire.

10.17 One juvenile is 1 crocket down on the West side. GA flies South.

10.22 GA and a juvenile fly about to the South.

10.43 Male joins GA and the juvenile and they all fly about to the West.

10.52 The male lands in the nest. GA lands 2 crockets down on the East side and then around to the North side. The male hops onto the camera. The juvenile in the box screeches constantly.

11.30 The male flies off from the camera and does a few laps of the spire. He lands on the North side and then flies off to the South.

12.43 GA returns and lands 2 crockets down.

12.54 GA flies East.

13.07 The male lands 2 crockets below the East plucking window.

13.46 A juvenile is 4 crockets down on the North side.

14.32 Two peregrines are spotted to the South East. One juvenile lands on the nest box.

14.35 The male leaves his perch and flies North East. One juvenile lands to the East of the plucking window. The male returns and lands 2 crockets down on the North side.

14.50 YS flies off from the nest box.

15.08 One juvenile is seen flying North West from the cathedral, low down near the cloisters.

15.29 An adult arrives and is chased to the East by a juvenile for a food pass but to no avail. The juvenile then lands 2 crockets above the nest box. GA lands 2 crockets down on the West side.

15.40 Two juveniles fly off to the South East.

15.44 GA is 2 crockets down on the East side. A juvenile lands on the North plucking window.
